COMMENTARY: Driving Your Honda CRV

Honda CRV flies of a Clif in
Canefield, Dominica, June 12th,2017
There have been several accidents involving Honda CRV's in Dominica and amongst other Caribbean islands too.
This brings me to wonder, is there a defect with Honda vehicles?
When driving your Honda vehicle if you are dissatisfied with the interior accessories, Electrical or any kind of Engine Problem then there is a chance that you are driving a defective Honda which has been recalled.  The most recalled Honda Vehicles are the ones manufactured between 2002 to 2006. In 2002 to 2003, Honda has recalled 2 Million CRV's  in the United States alone.

Honda released a statement saying, "The affected vehicles may have been assembled with improperly torqued connecting rod bolts, which can cause the engine to lose power or leak oil." The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in its recall summary that, "this may cause Loss of Engine power and may result in a vehicle stall, increasing the risk of a crash."  This is a very serious engine problem, especially when driving on mountainous roads bordering cliffs.

Once you have verified that your Honda is defective and have been recalled, you should immediately contact your car dealer.  If you are driving a used Honda, which you purchased from an individual, it is best to contact your closest Honda representative or their United States Recall office at 1 800-999-1009.
