The Grandbay police was forced to rescue an alleged thief from the villagers of Bellevue around 3pm today.
The accused man was caught inside of a villagers house. When he was discovered, the people started shouting 'voleur'. All other neighbours were alerted then the very old fashioned African form of Jungle Justice was inflicted which involved the villagers raining punches and kicks on the alleged thief. The Grandbay Police had been called to the scene and intervened in due time before the violence against the alleged thief got out of control.
The Grandbay Police has advised peepirit to NOT post this news item as the investigation of the incident is ongoing.
