At approximately 8:30 this morning the security alarm system at the Laplaine Credit union Was triggered.
About 20 Police Officers from the Laplaine Police Station rushed to the scene fully armed with rifles, pistols and bullet-proof vests on the outside of their uniforms. There was a crowd of onlookers outside the Credit Union. Peepirit was immediately informed that a robbery had taken place. But there was no robbery. It was only perceived that way. We must commend the police on their rapid response. And we apologise for running the story, however the telephones at the credit union are not connecting to calls, and Peepirit has been unsuccessful in reaching the Laplaine Police Station on phone.
