on the afternoon of March 13th. One of the perpetrators is 17 years old. Their identities have not been released.
The Shoot out happened at 12:25pm on March 13th in the town of Capesterre Belle-Eau (Guadeloupe) , infront of the Germain Saint-Ruf High School. An 11-year-old school student was severely wounded by stray bullets. He is currently fighting for his life at the Pointe a Pitre University Hospital.
The 11-year-old highschool student from Germain Saint-Ruf Highschool, in Capesterre Belle-Eau, was wounded at noon by gunfire.
He was going to the canteen, accompanied by other students when he was shot several times.
The shooters were two young men on scooters who were attempting to gun down a man while the man was running. The schoolboy who passed through the yard within the school compounds coincidentally was shot. He was shot at least 3 times.
According to the rescue service men, he had wounds on the lower limbs, right forearms and lower abdomen.
He was unconscious throughout the intervention, as he was taken to the Pointe-à-Pitre University Hospital.
The principal of the highschool has set up psychological therapy for students and staff.
The Nationalities of the perpetrators are unknown. The investigation has been entrusted to the Capesterre Belle-Eau Police.
According to sources close to the investigation, other victims may have been affected but are not identified.
