Edison James

Former prime minister of Dominica Edison James while addressing protesters outside the Parliament building made it clear that the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) needs to apologise to the people of the Commonwealth of Dominica for closing their accounts since it's an insult to do so. He further stated that the bank needs to give reasons why the accounts were closed.
Mr James also questioned the Prime Minister’s reason for wanting to change the laws of the land, "he needs to go to the people and explain to them what he is about and his purpose."
Mr James further called for CARICOM to intervene in the matter and stated that he spoke with the General Secretary of CARICOM who did not respond to his letter or acknowledge his request with a corresponding phone call.

He urged the protesters to keep strong as they are the ones who will decide the course Dominica goes into the future, "the speaker of the house of assembly Alix Boyd knight’s biased action is also of great concern and need to be ceased." Mr. James stated in reference to the speaker of the house, "she is playing the role of an actress with the motion brought to the house by the Parliamentary Representative of the Roseau central Honorable Joseph Isaac."  Honorable Isaac motion seeks to deal with the issue of the the Honorable Minister of the Petite Savanne constituency Hon. Kenneth Darroux who wielded a gun in the house of assembly and brandish it towards the public.

Meanwhile leader of the opposition the Honorable Lennox Linton told the crowd, "do not allow Dominica to reach the stage in which the Venezuelan people are in right now."

Reports reaching Peeprit says that two members of the Electoral Commission are currently pursuing an injunction on the amendment to the corruption in elections act.  Tony Astaphan who frequently talks on behalf of the government says that they are merely extending the act however most persons with whom we have spoken to thinks Tony Astaphan is misleading the public on the issue with his own reasoning.
