Roseau Dominica-29th May 2017| Reports reaching Peepirit have confirmed that twelve (12) Haitians have illegally taken up residence upstairs of the General Post Office Building. Supervisor of the Post Office Patricia Ambo has confirmed that the 12 Haitians has been squatting the building but could not confirm who brought them there or for how long they had been squatting the government building. Ms Ambo suggested that our journalist speak to the Post Master General Miss Dinard, who could not be reached.
This news comes at a time when several mysterious deaths have been taking the city by storm and leave us to wonder what activities these Haitians are doing in our landmark building. The Haitians insisted that they got permission to reside in the building and have still not vacated. The General Post Office Building is in dire need of repairs and is also embroiled in a legal matter between the government and contractors.
