Open to Motorists

The  controversial west bridge construction was brought to an end with it's opening on monday 1st may 2017.  The ceremony which was held at the river bank area seemed to be more of a show of political preference by supports of the ruling dominica labour party who came out in strong "sewo" mood while there was many onlookers clad in their "Sunday best" .

In speaking with many of the more conscious  onlookers  it was generally felt the new bridge will alleviate the traffic congestion in roseau and hope with the new opening , the city streets will be cleaned and the open drains will be scrubbed and cleared of the sums which is a health hazard for pedestrians and residents in the city.
