The drive-by happened on the early hours of 4am on Friday 10th March. Multiple gunshots were fired as the deputy and his family hid under the beds for cover at their sandy Point home. Police officers from district B, the Special Service Unit (SSU) and the k-9 unit had blocked of the main road of the area diverting traffic to alternative routes through the sandy point community. District B Superintendent calls on the community to come forward if they have any information of the identity of the perpetrators, he says, "it is a very troubling incident."
