Last Night at Vieux Fort's Phillip Marcellin Ground the Dominica 767 Legends put up a fight against the younger footballers of the Northern United Allstars.
"As a matter of fact we dominated the game, we did not win, but we put up a fight and gave them a run for their money," said Dunstan Maggie Peters, Manager of 767 Legends, "It was a great game and our Dominican players manoeuvred the game like true legends."
The Football Players of the Northen United Allstars came to the match lackadaisically at 6 pm last night, as they had pre-conceived that the Dominica 767 Legends were not to be taken seriously. And why would they take the Dominicans seriously, when in the previous game on June 22nd, the 767 Legends succumbed to a brutal ass-whipping which left Julius Wade; the goalkeeper and David Peter; the defender with strains and sprains?
This brutalisation from the insolent St. Lucian youths opened the eyes of the kind Dominican senior footballers. "they struggled," said Maggie Peters, "In the end, they only scored one goal."
